The United Nations: Is It Controlled?

Pakistan became the member of the United Nations on 30th of September, 1947. Pakistan is the symbol of peace. Such peace that fulfills the needs of Written-Defense-Justice of the main constitution of United Nations.

The Institutions of United Nations

General Assembly:

Ever member of United Nations is a member of General Assembly. And every country has one vote. Every year there’s a full meeting of General Assembly. Besides this, on the request of majority there can happen an emergency meeting. All the duties that are according the law of the United Nations can be taken under debate in the General Assembly.

In the General Assembly, all the reports of the works and duties of the United Nations’ departments are presented and asked for approval. The selections of the members of all the other departments is also done in the General Assembly.

Security Council:

The total number of members of the Security Council is 15. 5 members are permanent. And the other 10 members are selected by the General Assembly for 2 years. Permanent members are U.S.A, Britain, France, Russia and Public’s Republic of China. Security Council is an important department of the United Nations. To maintain peace and order is the duty of Security Council. Security Council takes notice of every incidence or problem that can be a danger to regional or international peace. Even if one permanent member votes against its any declaration; that won’t be passed. This is called ‘Veto’. All of the five members have the power to veto.

United Nations Economic and Social Council:

This council has 27 members. These members are selected for 3 years term. The work of this is to make the reports related to about the world’s economic, educational and cultural part.

Trusteeship Council:

It runs the cycle of all the areas that come under the International Monetary System. (2) It stays informed about those areas that are not independent or freed yet. In the members of this are those countries that run the system of non-independent regions. Besides Australia, Britain and U.S.A etc. all the other permanent members of Security Council are also members of this council. Also, from the other member countries of United Nations, members are selected every 3 years in a valid number.

International Court of Justice:

 It hears to such cases, which come in the circle of international law. On the other hand, this also does its work as Secretary of law of United Nations. The number of judges is 15. The term of duty of these judges is 9 years.

Veto Power:

The use of Veto Power could only be done by the 5 permanent members of Security Council. In these USA, China, Russia, Britain and France are included. On any of a global problem, if one of them uses the veto power, then that problem couldn’t be solved.

International Labor Organization:

Its purpose is to strengthen the labors and social justice. Its headquarters are in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Food and Agriculture Organization:

Its purpose is to make the food situation better and increasing the food growth. Its headquarters are in Rome.

UNESCO:

Its purpose is to increase relations among nations through cultures, education and science. And to empower the Global brotherhood and friendships. Its headquarters are in Paris.

World Bank:

Its purpose is provide loans and investments to the member countries to help them in their infrastructural and economic development. Its headquarters are in Washington.

International Economic Fund:

Its purpose is to increase the international cooperation in the field of finances and trades. It promotes global Imports and Exports by providing ease and convenience in them and to make the financial situations stable. Headquarters are in Washington.

World Health Organization:

Its purpose is to make the best health situations for humanity. Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

Re-processing Plant:

The reason Re-processing plant is known as Re-processing plant is that it takes out the un-used uranium from used Plutonium by the traditional Atomic Plant so that that uranium could be used again. A normal Atomic plant burns only a little amount of the uranium. That uranium is then made usable through re-processing plant. And then fuel is used many times again so that after that there isn’t a lot of fuel needed to be imported.
